Where the Empress is about abundance and possibilities, the Emperor is about stability and protection. I guess the Empress made it to the first line because is is Goddess Lakshmi’s day today so there is the energy of abundance all around.
You may be feeling especially protective about someone or something today, as you rightly should. You don’t need to worry but it’s okay to feel protective and it’s okay to feel the need for shielding.
